Our client is a rapidly expanding Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and boutique family office dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals and aspirations. About the Role
As a Family Wealth Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding wealth creators, entrepreneurs, innovators, and their families through significant liquidity events. You will help enhance their positive impact on their communities and the world by delivering expert advice and personalized financial planning.
This position is ideal for someone with a relentless drive to succeed, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for continuous learning. You will work closely with senior advisors and service teams to provide exceptional client service and foster a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as project manager for assigned clients, facilitating implementation of recommendations in wealth enhancement, wealth transfer, wealth protection, and charitable giving.
- Manage areas including cash flow planning, education planning, asset management, lending solutions, life insurance, family meetings, and health insurance.
- Collaborate closely with Senior Family Advisors and Service Team to ensure exceptional client service.
- Act as primary contact for clients and their trusted advisors.
- Lead preparation of prospect proposals and client review presentations.
- Assist in client review meetings by presenting and discussing cash flow models and advanced planning topics.
- Utilize CRM systems to capture meeting notes and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Prepare proprietary reports for clients on an individualized basis.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned client families.
- Comply with all industry regulations and firm policies.
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in a client-facing advisory role at a broker-dealer or Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
- Strong financial planning acumen.
- Series 63, 65, and/or 66 licenses.
- Experience with advanced planning techniques including donor advised funds, foundations, 529 accounts, and various insurance products.
- Knowledge of fundamental estate planning tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Strong time management skills and commitment to follow-through.
- Ability to work closely with clients' external advisors such as estate planning counsel, tax professionals, and insurance professionals.
- High attention to detail, dedication to quality, and focus on client satisfaction.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, integrity, and accountability.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and a collaborative, positive attitude.
- Can-do, problem-solving attitude with a warm and upbeat personality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience advising privately held business owners and families.
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), or other relevant designations strongly preferred.
- Life and Disability Insurance license.
- Familiarity with software such as Salesforce, Orion, Wealthscape, eMoney, or MindManager.
